Management and deployment of the National Weather Services' Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS).

AWIPS was a winner of Popular Science Magazine's 1997 "Best of What's New" Award.

Principal Engineer responsible for all COTS packages used on the AWIPS project. The final AWIPS configuration will be comprised of 155 systems deployed in all 50 states, Guam, and Puerto Rico. Each system is fully redundant and includes 4 HP K-class servers, several three headed HP J-class workstations, NEXRAD radar receivers, SBN satellite receivers, and multiple WAN links.
